What Is Staff Augmentation?

Staff augmentation is a flexible engagement model where a business brings in an external developer to work directly within their existing team - rather than outsourcing a project to an agency or hiring a permanent employee.

You get a senior contributor who works inside your workflows, your tools, and your codebase, without the overhead of a full-time hire.

When Does It Make Sense?

It's a good fit when you need to move fast but can't justify a permanent hire.

Common scenarios include:

An agency with more work than its current team can absorb.
A startup that needs to scale development capacity quickly.

How I Work

I integrate directly into your team. That means your tools (Jira, GitHub, Bitbucket), your processes (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), your communication channels (Slack, Teams), and your codebase - from day one.

With 10+ years across agency, enterprise, and startup environments, I'm used to jumping into unfamiliar codebases and contributing quickly without disrupting the team's rhythm.

I'm available on a fixed-term contract, open-ended retainer, or project basis depending on what suits your situation.

What I Bring

My core stack is React, Next.js, Node.js, and Tailwind CSS, with strong experience in headless CMS integrations (e.g. Strapi, Contentful), REST API development, and AWS infrastructure. I'm also an early adopter of AI-assisted development workflows using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot - which means faster output without cutting corners on quality.

I hold an AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification and have worked with teams across Australia, Germany, and internationally throughout my career.

Rates & Availability

I work on both an hourly and daily rate basis. For longer engagements (3+ months), reduced rates are available. All rates are in AUD and exclude GST.
